Let’s Zumba! Join the 15 Day Challenge

Let’s Zumba! Join the 15 Day Challenge

Many people think they need to workout for 1-2 plus hours a day to make progress toward their “goal” weight. Truth is, studies show that short periods of high intensity training (HIT), like Zumba, are as effective in the long-turn as strenuous endurance workouts.

The Latin dance inspired workout craze, Zumba, varies between HIT and short intensity training, depending on the class, teacher and level of the workout. However, what does not vary are the benefits of an intense Zumba workout versus yoga, jogging or cycling.

A study found subjects burned an average of 369 calories per class. Zumba strengthens core and flexibility while burning more calories than cardio kickboxing, step aerobics, hooping and power yoga.

In addition to high calorie burning, Zumba is found as enjoyable as it is effective by people of all age groups.

Look into your local gym or fitness coach for ways to include Zumba into your daily routine.
