FiercePH6We each cherish those precious days off at the end of the week, but increasingly those of us who are charter members of the sisterhood of the stressed and overworked are losing our Saturday and Sunday leisure time to weekend work and domestic duties.

To make sure that you do something every weekend that’s just for you, we’ll be sharing a little advice to make those 48 hours a great time to recharge your batteries, bring a little good news into your life, or discover a quick and easy way to improve your health.

For this Friday …

Fierce 20-Second Secret to Serenity

In less than a minute, you can chill out and take the edge off of holiday shopping frustrations, work pressures or just about anything else that tries your nerves. This amazingly simple, deep-breathing exercise, created by meditation master Devya, is sure to keep you calm.

  1. Sit still and quiet and breathe at your natural pace.
  2. With your next breath, inhale, then exhale and count “one” (in your mind). With each exhaled breath, count again, until you reach the number 10.
  3. Reverse the count. Inhale; then when you exhale, count “10.” With each exhalation, continue until you reach the number 1.
  4. If you are interrupted, start again. If you are really tense, count as high as 20 or 30.

Have a wonderful & restful weekend
